WHAT IS CANNABIDIOL (CBD) OIL?

CBD is often just referred to as CBD Oil or Cannabidiol Oil.  CBD is the compound found in cannabis (hemp). Our cannabidiol (CBD) oil is extracted from organically grown hemp plants. • Antitumoral: Thanks to its activation of the peroxisome proliferator activated receptors, CBD is believed to decrease cancer cell proliferation
• Promote bone mass: By blocking the orphan receptor GPR55’s signaling, CBD may act to decrease bone reabsorption

In CBD’s case, its ability to bind with non-cannabinoid receptors and ion channels could explain it’s wide variety of therapeutic effects.

No, hemp oil contains mainly CBD, a compound which does not make the you feel high. Some customers report that it makes them feel relaxed, others report that in high doses it can have similar effects to drinking coffee. Hemp oil helps you to keep a clear mind and maintain an active lifestyle.

What are the Differences between CBD and THC?

THC will get you high and CBD won’t. THC and CBD interact with the body differently. THC activates CB1 and CB2 receptors, while CBD exerts its effects more indirectly.

Cannabinoids interact with cannabinoid receptors throughout the body in the endocannabinoid system. Because THC binds with CB1 receptors so easily, it stimulates the body in a specific way. The results are general relaxation, altered senses, fatigue, and hunger. The “munchies” are a direct side effect of THC.

Unlike THC, CBD does not directly stimulate CB1 and CB2 receptors. Instead, CBD can interact with CB1 and CB2 receptors indirectly — what scientists call modulation.

Does CBD Have Side Effects?

CBD is generally considered safe but as with all health supplements, care should be taken especially if you are on other medications.

CBD can interact with other pharmaceuticals

This is because it inhibits the activity of some liver enzymes called cytochrome P450. This family of enzymes metabolizes most of the pharmaceutical drugs used to treat humans. If you are taking pharmaceutical drugs we strongly suggest you discuss these issues with your health professional to discuss any potential complications.

To put these risks into perspective, eating grapefruit has a similar effect on these same liver enzymes.
